Stare at the Dot! is a video created by Richard Wiseman, a renowned psychologist, for his Quirkology channel on YouTube.

The video starts with a footage of a man talking about the optical illusions like the title implies, where it tells the player to look at his nose, but there is nothing until after he put some greenscreen on his nose, now we see a picture of Thomas the train's face alongside mentioning a text informing the user to concentrate on the dot, However, shortly after the guy says "Don't worry, there will be no screams or scary sounds", a close-up picture of a dog which gradually adjust temperature colors within 5 seconds, accompanied by a loud scream.
The video features an intriguing inverted effect where Wiseman instructs the viewer to focus on his nose, and a blue dot suddenly appears on it. However, just as Wiseman reassures the audience that there will be no scary sounds or screams, the video switches to a grayscale effect.

The original version of the video is approximately one minute long and does not contain any screamer. However, a modified version titled "Stare at the Dot on His Nose" was uploaded by Jacob Laggard in 2018. The thumbnail features a screencap of Thomas' shocked face from the popular children's show Thomas and Friends on Wiseman's nose. After 30 seconds, a picture of a dog appears, followed by a loud scream and special effects.
