Google.exe is a series of screamer games created and published on November 8, 2016, developed by RecordGuy626 using Game Maker 2.1.0 version, it has many sequels on Gamejolt.

The story is about a report filed back in 2016, Google has detected a virus that has gotten into the source of the search engine, Many Members of google were found to be dead, or were fired due to the virus, even if they haven't done anything wrong. Google wants to get rid of everyone that was made by its creators.

Gameplay

The application is a Google homepage simulator with several unusual features and hidden surprises. When launched, the program mimics a regular Google homepage, complete with a search bar and two buttons labeled "Enter" and "I'm Feeling Lucky." Attempting to enter a search term will trigger an error message and prompt the user to choose from a selection of options, including YouTube, CD Drive Cleaner, Google Update, and a Google service. Clicking on Google Update leads to a message box reading "WELCOME TO GOOGLE NIGHTMARE PAGE" after which the page changes to a dark red version with the text "You shouldn't have done that." This is a reference to the creepypasta BEN Drowned, and although the text is clickable, it does not perform any function other than displaying the same message. Occasionally, a message box may appear with the statement "You met a terrible fate, haven't you?" which, when clicked, will close the application and generate three text files with eerie text.

The screen of the CD Drive Cleaner

Clicking on YouTube opens a video with TV static and text covering the background. The video displays a message indicating that it has an error that cannot be fixed at the moment. After a few seconds, the screen cuts to a picture of Sonic.exe, followed by static. The application then opens the browser, displaying a text prompt reading "Hello, do you want to play with me?" before generating files containing eerie text. Selecting CD Drive Cleaner leads to a page with a CD drive, text, and a clean button. Underneath is a loading bar that progresses when the user clicks the clean button until it reaches 100%, at which point the application closes. An image of the moon from Legend of Zelda, accompanied by a loud scream, appears, along with more generated files.

An Easter egg is hidden within the program, with a clue located in the text files. The clue reveals that the answer begins with "G" and ends with ".exe," which can be easily deduced as "Google.exe." If the user types this into the search bar, the homepage will turn into a demonic version of the page. After a few seconds, a message appears reading "You shouldn't have done that," followed by a screen displaying an image of two eyes and a smile, accompanied by an extremely loud scream, and the user will be redirected to an image of Ben Drowned.

Hangouts.exe

Hangouts.exe or Google 2.exe is a horror game that serves as the sequel to Google.exe, which was created and published on Gamejolt by user RecordGuy626 on March 26, 2017. The game presents itself as a copy of Google's cross-platform messaging application, Google Hangouts. Upon launching the game, a text file appears with the message: "Ever since you entered the nightmare page, things have been acting up lately. A few products were infected in ways that we can't explain. A group of unknown users appeared in this product. Mind if you check them out?" The gameplay involves a search bar, where typing anything generates a list of five people, including AlexBlogger, Women666, Mr. Death, Charlie, and Satan. Upon clicking on the first person, the player hears their voice and sees their profile picture, but the call ends after four seconds. The second person generates an audio of the same scream from The Maze followed by a picture of the scary face from Dane Boe's video.

Clicking on Mr. Death results in a dark background that persists for seven seconds before generating a text file requesting the player not to turn around. Suddenly, the screen cuts to a picture of Sonic.exe, accompanied by an extremely loud scream, and the game closes. Clicking on Charlie presents a dark background and a "call" button. After clicking on the button, the player receives an error message indicating that the person is not on the call. However, Charlie calls the player immediately, and when the player hangs up, the same screamer picture interrupts the call. The game generates another text file reading, "Go ahead and tell me anything!"

After clicking on the four people, the player must click on Satan, which is actually an image of the Lord of Darkness from the 1985 epic dark fantasy adventure film Legend. Upon clicking on Satan, the game closes and cannot be relaunched. Instead, the game opens itself and fullscreens the player's computer with a dark background, fire on the ground, and an eerie text that reads, "You shouldn't have done that," referencing the BEN Drowned creepypasta. The computer generates a text file with the same text, followed by two identical pictures of a dark figure with white eyes and small
