when open, an image of a Pokemon adventure island map shows up with the music playing in the background, along with a random Pokemon that flashes, when clicked on a random Pokemon. a voice of Pikachu saying "Pikachu!" plays. after that, the lights start to flash after that. the lights go off but then, an animated GIF of a blue-tinted ghost, known as "Hong Kong Grandmother Ghost" (which is a Korean myth.) pops up and the flash projector goes on fullscreen with a strange quiet noise that loops on forever. there are no sounds in the screamer, however, the gif may startle the user. the screamer will go on forever until the user closes out by hitting the escape key (ESC) to exit out the full screen and click on close. or use the ALT-F4 to exit out, or Task Manager.

Ghost.exe, also known as pikachu.exe, pica.exe, or Scary Pikachu, was a screamer program made by Junya Uchino in the late 1990s or early 2000s, and appears to have been created or distributed in Korea.[1] It was hosted on many sites, and was later hosted on haha168.com, a site that hosted many screamer applications including Monster.exe, around 2002.

The application icon.

Upon opening the application, the user is greeted with a title screen with the text "Pokemon Adventure Island" and a rapid cycle of Pokémon images. Text in the lower left of the screen read "Please turn on your speaker for dynamic sound effect within the game".

When the user clicked on the title screen, a voice clip of Pikachu saying "Pikachu!" played, and the screen started to flash white. The screen faded to black, and then a full-screen, GIF of a blue-tinted ghost making a pawing motion, known as Hong Kong Grandmother Ghost (홍콩할매귀신)[2] appeared, accompanied by ghostly speech. After a couple seconds, the GIF fades to black, and the application closes.

  2. An urban legend in Korea. She was said to be an old Korean lady who loved her cat. She took a flight to Hong Kong with her cat, but the plane crashed and both died. Her love for the cat was so strong that their ghosts merged, and so her face is half-cat and half-human. She was said to attack children who were out after sunset.
