Firstly, the earliest archive of the site shows the following text stating: "You have wasted [counter] seconds of your life"[3] Following the first content, the website shows a dancing cat on a flashing background with a russian text displayed: "котопати" which translates as: "kittyparty", while Dj Weaver - Come Into My Dreams (Hixxy Remix) starts playing in loop[4] it displays the same content over the past few years, the animation, in fact, originated from z0r.de, a german flash platform, the id for this animation is 4061 and was originally uploaded in 2011.[5]

February 2016 - Present

Anne.jpg

Main Article: Anne.jpg

The website had Anne.jpg featured as a file directory in April 2012, which, of course, contained a flashing picture of Jeff the Killer, accompanied by an incredibly loud scream, before the scream was played, the picture is seen quickly zooming in.

the screamer was first linked in December 2012, by ZONA DEL Terror, the post has some text stating: "miren este vídeo horror fans esta increíble!!!" above the link, the website: 420yolo.com was first launched in March 2013, the website was posted on numerous subreddits which all of them are disguised.[7] a few months later, the site: Findminecraft.com was launched in May and received a tons of popularity in 2015, because of DanTDM who was tricked into entering the website while it was active.[8]

Another mirror called Topkek.co existed for a while (possibly existed in around 2014). This one did not have the malicious script like other known mirrors, but it did download malware on the computer. This version was spammed for a long time in /b/ of 4chan, However, there are so many mirrors of Anne.jpg that started to spread around the internet to mislead users. Topkek is a 4chan meme[9] and its purposes is to lure off people thinking the website is associating with Topkek.

in late-2014, The domain: Agor.io was registered, it is the most popular one due to the fact that many people have substituted the first "a" and replaced with "o", there is also a malicious script that prevents the user from closing the site by displaying the alert message: "U SCARED BRO LOL", Besides that, the site circulates around the internet which the majority are coming from Reddit[10] However, this post, in particular, was supposedly written by a parent whose child had an epileptic seizure who was trying to play Agar.io but misspelled it as Agor.io, the mother wants to file a lawsuit against the owner of the website, the creator was revealed to be Preston Kellenberger, living in Sardinia, Ohio.[11] The original site now redirects to a german version of savetheinternet.info, a few months later, the site redirects to 404 error.
