Maxandruby0005.avi is a screamer video created and uploaded to YouTube by Oneohtrix on January 7th, 2017. It is considered an unofficial sequel of Max and Ruby 0004 creepypasta.
The video begins as an episode of Max and Ruby. However, at around 15 seconds, the normal scene is abruptly replaced by an unsettling image with creepy flashing eyes and glitching effects, accompanied by a jarring scream. Following this, the screen goes black with the word "PAUSE" displayed, and there is a sound pause for several seconds.
After this pause, the video resumes, returning to the same episode of Max and Ruby, but with various edits and eerie background music from the Conet Project recording, sourced from a Polish number station. Once the music segment ends, the screamer image reappears, now darkened and zoomed in. The video then toggles back to the edited clip with the music restored.
This pattern repeats, with sudden switches between the edited episode and the screamer image. The screamer image appears intermittently, gradually becoming more swirly and distorted as the video progresses. Eventually, it cuts to a black screen again, followed by the reappearance of the swirly image. The video ends with a final black screen displaying the words "PAUSE" and "SHUT DOWN...", along with an accompanying noise in the background.
